What the price includes
Dentist-supervised clear aligners, from £999 an arch.
Postal brands scan you in a kiosk and ship the trays; cosmetic clinics quote three or four thousand. From £999 an arch you get a dentist in the room, lab-made trays, a check-up every six weeks, retainers when you're done, and a hygiene appointment and teeth whitening included. Here is what the price covers, in the order it happens.
01
The first appointment
A dentist examines you, then we scan in 3D.
A registered dentist examines your teeth, gums and bite in person. We take a five-minute intraoral scan (no impressions, no goop) and build a 3D model of where your teeth are now. Costs you nothing if you don't book the treatment.

The simulation
Your finished smile on screen before you pay anything.
We run the simulation on the consultation screen. You see exactly where every tooth ends up. If you don't like what you see, you leave with nothing to pay. There is no deposit at this stage and no follow-up sales call.

The trays
Every tray you need, made in our UK lab.
Whatever sequence your case needs (usually around 14 trays for mild-to-moderate crowding), all made in our own lab here in the UK. Priced per arch, from £999. Your exact figure is written down at the consultation, never sprung on you mid-treatment.

Through treatment
An in-person check-up every six weeks.
We see you in Manchester throughout treatment. If a tooth isn't tracking the way the simulation said it would, we print an adjustment tray that week. Posted aligner brands can't do that. We can, and it's included in the price.

When you're done
A fixed or removable retainer when treatment ends.
Most patients choose the fixed retainer: a tiny wire bonded across the back of your front teeth, invisible from the front, stays in place for decades. No nightly tray to remember, no risk of losing one, no thinking about it. If you'd rather have removable retainers (a set of two clear trays worn nightly), those are included too. Both options are included in the price. We'll talk through which is right for you at consultation.

Aligners only work if you wear them, so here is who they suit and who they don't.
A good fit if…
- Your front teeth are mildly to moderately crowded, spaced, or have drifted back after old braces
- You can keep the trays in 20 to 22 hours a day, out only for meals and brushing
- You want your front teeth straight, not a whole-bite overhaul
- You'd rather see the finished result in 3D before you commit a penny
Probably not, if…
- You know you won't wear them the hours. Fixed braces work better, and we'll fit those instead
- Your bite needs major correction or teeth need big rotations. We'll quote that properly at the consultation
- You want it done by next week. Real movement takes four to six months
- You're under 18. We'd rather wait until growth has settled

Questions about clear aligners
How is this different from Smile Direct Club or by-post brands?
Two real differences. First, a registered dentist examines you in person before treatment starts. At SDC and similar brands, no clinician ever sees your mouth in person. Second, we review you every six weeks through the treatment. If a tooth isn't moving the way it should, we print an adjustment tray that week. Postal brands can't do that. They ship the next set regardless.
Can I take them out to eat?
Yes, that's the whole point of clear aligners. You take them out for meals, snacks, and to drink anything warmer than cold water. You also remove them to brush. Rule of thumb is 20 to 22 hours a day in. If you don't think you can commit to that, fixed braces will work better for you and we'll tell you so at the consultation.
What if I lose a tray?
Tell us as soon as you notice. Depending where you are in the sequence, we either move you to the next tray early or print a replacement at our lab, usually within a week. Replacement trays mid-treatment are included in the price, so there is no extra charge.
Will it hurt?
For the first two or three days after each new tray, you'll feel pressure on the moving teeth. Most patients describe it as a tight, dull ache. Standard painkillers handle it if needed. By day three the discomfort fades. After the first couple of weeks, the new-tray tightness is much milder.
Will I have to wear a retainer at night forever?
No, not if you don't want to. Most patients choose the fixed retainer instead: a tiny wire bonded across the back of your front teeth, invisible from the front, set and forget. We've fitted ones that are still holding teeth in place 15 plus years later. Once it's in, there's nothing to remember and nothing to wear. If you'd rather have removable clear retainers (a set of two, worn nightly), those are included too. Both options are included in the price. We'll talk through which is right for you at consultation.
What if my case turns out to be more complex than expected?
We tell you at the consultation, in writing, before you commit. Aligners are priced per arch, from £999, and your exact figure is written down at the consultation. If your bite needs more than aligners can do, we say so there and point you to fixed braces instead. No surprises mid-treatment.
