Teeth in a Day UK: Cost, What It Includes and Is It Worth It?
Here's a lovely thing about teeth in a day: the name is true. You can arrive in the morning with failing teeth or a denture you've had enough of, and by the evening you're eating a soft dinner on a fixed row of new teeth.
And you get two sets of them. The teeth you go home with are a temporary bridge, made to carry you comfortably while your jaw heals, and your final bridge takes over a few months later. Once you know that, the whole treatment makes sense, and so do the prices, because the first thing worth knowing about any teeth in a day quote is whether both of those bridges are in it.
What Is Teeth in a Day?
Teeth in a day is a full arch of fixed teeth fitted on the same day as the implants that hold it. Any teeth that can't be saved come out, implants go into your jaw (four per arch with All-on-4), and a temporary bridge is fixed onto them before you go home. A few months later, once the bone has grown onto the implants, the final bridge replaces it.
You'll see it called teeth in a day, same-day teeth or fixed teeth in a day, and they all describe the same thing: when your new teeth arrive.
Now, you might wonder how brand-new implants can hold a set of teeth on the very first day, when a single implant normally waits a few months for its final crown. The bridge is the secret. It joins every implant in the arch into one piece, so they brace each other and share every bite between them, a bit like four people carrying a sofa up the stairs: each one takes a share of the weight, and none of them carries it alone.
What Happens on the Day
Your day starts a little before the day itself, at a free consultation. The dentist examines your teeth and gums, talks through what you'd like, and, where your case needs one, books a 3D scan of your jaw so every implant can be planned around the bone you have.
Then comes surgery day. IV sedation settles you into a deeply relaxed state, and afterwards most people recall very little of the surgery. A dedicated sedation nurse stays with you the whole way through. The teeth that can't be saved are taken out, the implants go into the strongest bone in the arch, and the temporary bridge is fitted and checked against your bite. With us, the whole thing takes around four to five hours, and that includes the time it takes to come round from the sedation.
And then you go home with teeth. That evening you can eat something soft, talk and smile on them, which is the whole point of the name: there's never a day when you're without teeth.
The Months Between Your First Bridge and Your Final One
For the next few months, the work happens where you can't see it. Your jawbone grows onto the surface of each implant and grips it more tightly week by week, while your gums settle into their new shape after the extractions.
Think of a new fence post set in concrete. It stands up straight from the first day, but nobody leans on it until the concrete has had time to firm up around it. Your implants are much the same: firm enough to hold your new teeth from day one, with the bone tightening its hold over the months that follow. That's why soft food comes first, and firmer food comes back bit by bit as your dentist says you're ready.
Somewhere between four and six months later, your final bridge goes in. It waits for the healing so that it can be made to fit your mouth as it is once everything has settled, rather than as it was on surgery day. With us, it's an acrylic-zirconia bridge made in our own lab, and it's fixed in place, so it stays in day and night.
What Teeth in a Day Costs in the UK
Here's what practices across Leeds and Greater Manchester publish for a full arch of fixed teeth on implants, taken from their own price lists on 15 October 2026. We've counted only the prices where a practice said whether it meant one arch or both, because those are the only ones that line up fairly.
| What was priced | Published price |
|---|---|
| One arch, Leeds practices | £8,000 to £15,995 |
| One arch, Greater Manchester practices | from £8,000 to from £14,950 |
| Both arches, Leeds practices | £15,000 to £25,995 |
| Both arches, Greater Manchester | from £26,950 (one practice) |
| One arch, UrgentCare Dental | All-on-4 from £7,999 |
That Greater Manchester figure for both arches comes from a practice that calls its full-arch treatment "teeth in a day" right there on its price list: from £14,950 for one arch and from £26,950 for two.
So why would one arch cost nearly twice as much at one Leeds practice as at another? Part of it is choice. Two Leeds practices each sell their full arches in tiers, and one runs from £8,000 for its "essential" single arch to £15,000 for its "premier" arch, so a single practice can quote very different figures depending on the option you pick. The other part is what each price includes, and that's where it pays to read closely.
Our All-on-4 offer starts from £7,999 an arch, at the low end of both the Leeds and the Greater Manchester ranges, against our standard All-on-4 price of £12,999 an arch. It can sit there because the imaging, the surgery, both bridges and the aftercare all stay in-house, with the final bridge made in our own lab, so there's no outside markup added at each step.
What a Teeth in a Day Price Should Include
The practices we read are pricing different amounts of the journey, and the wording on each list tells you which.
One Leeds practice states that its full-arch prices "are comprehensive and include scans, consultations, a temporary PMMA bridge and a long-term bridge". PMMA is a tough acrylic used for temporary teeth, so that one figure covers both bridges, the scans and the consultations. A Manchester practice goes the other way and says so openly: its implant prices, its full arch from £15,509 among them, are "starting prices for the implant work itself", and it names a "temporary restoration such as a denture or temporary bridge" among the extras it says most cases need in some combination. And a third, in Leeds, lists "All-on-4, 4 implants with initial immediate fixed denture / bridge" at £9,750, without saying whether that's one arch or whether the final bridge is part of it.
So here's what a complete teeth in a day price covers. It says whether it's for one arch or both, since a figure for two arches can't sit fairly beside a figure for one. It names both bridges, the one fitted on the day and the final one that replaces it, because the final bridge is the set of teeth you'll live with for years. It includes the sedation on surgery day. And it tells you how much aftercare comes with it, and for how long.
Ours, from £7,999 an arch, includes four implants per arch, IV sedation on surgery day, the same-day temporary bridge, the final acrylic-zirconia bridge, the healing checks, hygienist visits and bridge cleans of the whole first year, and a five-year warranty on the implants and the bridge, subject to the recommended hygiene visits. You'll see one dentist from start to finish: the one who places your implants also fits both of your bridges and looks after you at every aftercare visit. If your jaw needs extra work first, such as a bone graft, we'll tell you at the consultation, and you leave with a full written quote before anything is booked.
Who Teeth in a Day Suits
Teeth in a day is made for a particular moment: when an arch has lost most of its teeth, or the ones left are failing and beyond saving, or when you've been living with a denture that moves, clicks or keeps you from the food you love. It suits people who'd like their teeth to stay put, day and night.
What decides it is your bone. The implants need enough healthy bone to grip, and the 3D scan shows us how much you have. Where there isn't quite enough, grafting can often build it back, and for an upper jaw with very little bone left there's another route called zygomatic implants, which anchor into the cheekbone. Your gums matter too, because healthy gum around each implant is what keeps it in for the long run, and that's what the hygiene visits look after.
A couple of habits come into it as well. Smoking slows the healing around new implants, and grinding your teeth at night puts extra force on a new bridge, so we'll talk both through at the consultation and plan around them. Some health conditions mean the timing needs thinking about first, and we'll tell you straight if now isn't the moment.
And if your own teeth are mostly healthy and worth keeping, teeth in a day is more treatment than you need. An implant here and there, or a bridge, can fill the gaps for less (a single implant, crown included, is £1,999), and if that's the better fit for your mouth, that's what we'll recommend at the consultation.
Is Teeth in a Day Worth the Money?
It's a big number, so it deserves a straight answer.
What you're buying is fixed teeth from the first day. Once you've healed, you can bite into the food you've been avoiding, there's no adhesive and nothing to take out at night, and your teeth go back to being something you never have to think about. The implants also give your jawbone something to hold onto, which helps it keep its shape, while the bone under a denture slowly shrinks over the years.
What it asks of you is surgery, a few days of swelling, soft food at first, a second stage for the final bridge, and hygiene visits for years after. It also costs a good deal more than a denture: a full denture with us is £699 an arch, so if a denture suits you, that's the far cheaper path, and a perfectly good one.
So it comes down to what you want from your teeth. If you want fixed teeth, and you'd rather never spend a day without them, this is the treatment built for that. Finance is available if you'd rather spread the cost, and if you'd like to see where you're heading first, our smile preview shows how your smile could look with implants, from a single photo.

Your Questions, Answered Straight
How much are teeth in a day in the UK?
Where a practice said its price was for one arch, the Leeds and Greater Manchester price lists we read on 15 October 2026 ran from £8,000 to £15,995 an arch, and both arches ran from £15,000 to from £26,950. Our All-on-4 offer starts from £7,999 an arch, with both bridges, IV sedation and the first year's aftercare included.
Is teeth in a day worth it?
For someone whose teeth are failing, or whose denture won't stay put, it's the fastest way to fixed teeth, because you go home with them on the day of surgery. It costs more than a denture, so it's worth it when teeth that stay in are what you're after. The consultation is free, so you can find out whether it suits your mouth before you spend anything.
Are teeth in a day permanent?
The implants and the final bridge are the permanent part, and they're fixed in your mouth, so they stay in day and night. The bridge you go home with on surgery day is the temporary one, and your final bridge from our own lab replaces it four to six months later.
How long does teeth in a day take?
Surgery day with us lasts about four to five hours from start to finish, with time to come round from the sedation built in. The final bridge goes in four to six months later, so it's about five months from surgery to finished teeth.
Does teeth in a day hurt?
IV sedation leaves you relaxed and drowsy through the surgery, and little of it stays in your memory afterwards. There's usually swelling and tenderness for three to five days, which painkillers keep comfortable, and within a week most people are eating soft food comfortably again.
Is teeth in a day the same as All-on-4?
They're two sides of the same treatment. Teeth in a day is the timing, fixed teeth on the day of surgery, and All-on-4 is the hardware, four implants holding a full arch. Some cases use six implants instead, especially in a softer upper jaw, and our guide to All-on-6 vs All-on-4 explains why.
The Short Version
Teeth in a day gives you fixed teeth on the day your implants go in, then swaps that temporary bridge for your final one four to six months later, once your jaw has healed. In Leeds and Greater Manchester, one arch was listed at £8,000 to £15,995 on 15 October 2026, and part of the gap between those prices is what each one includes, so a complete price names both bridges, the sedation and the aftercare.
Ours starts from £7,999 an arch with all of that in it, and the consultation is free, so you can book it in Leeds, Manchester or Bradford whenever it suits you.
